I thought I was dreaming
when the visions appeared
before me
The death I had feared
meaning nothing
I remained

It all had changed
with the loneliness I’d face
The coming of another minute
Another hour, another day
I’d look at it differently
or I told myself
as you appeared

My life would never be
the same
before I heard this sound
I could hear the music
Melody so soulful
I couldn’t even think

A voice spoke to me
telling me of life
its many mysteries
and why I’d fall
like a stone
into a wishing well

I’d create ripples
to change the world
They were felt inside
Outside, everywhere
that I would be

I’d never lose
This vision, this sound
which moved me
Your beauty was forever
Everything had changed
