He had found me, the only man I had ever loved, but to survive his passsion I had to flee from him.
Seeing you again was a mistake,
Your nearness brought back that old familiar ache,
Your touch could always make my body quake.
It was your intense passion that made me flee,
I was so fearful that you would evaporate me.
Craving you was like a drug I couldn't control,
You seeped into my every pore, you took me body and soul.
My body always clung to yours, I was your clinging vine,
You intoxicated me like heady wine,
Your wanton spirit haunted my mind.
My ivory skin, would cover your caramel skin like snow,
As you immersed yourself into me, I felt your need enlarge and grow.
I was impaled upon your desire, your slave, wanting nothing more,
You absorbed my essence, it was only you I adored.
You fed on my weakness again and again,
You sucked out my life force when our bodies did blend.
You always possessed me to the haunting melody of Samba Pa Ti,
You and that music will never set me free.
I will be yours for eternity, you will never let me go,
For you wish your existence to be eternally covered in my snow.

There are times in life we have to give up what feels good for self preservation. Passionate beyond words. Great job. That song is one of my favorite Latin tunes. Lydi**
That kind of destructive love is the hardest for it does never go away no matter how badly we are treated by them, and even when we find the strength to go...the memories are scarred in our hearts foever. Been there.
A brasilian composed Samba Pa Ti (a samba for you) praising Brasil, a piece of music which are like a picture frame to this poem talking about an enslaved spirit between desire and wish to escape, succumbing again and again like a moth in the fires of the flesh.
A Poem Pa Ti should it be called.
Great.

What a shame when one usurps another's dreams...future arrives too quickly to be left memories of what could have been. May all your dreams come true. But you have left behind this wonderfully written piece as a result of remembrance.
