Life Without Parole

My crime, being born,
My sentence, being unwanted, unloved, sad and forlorn.
No blood, but toxic poison runs through my veins,
I was swaddled in guilt, wretchedness and pain.
A child of sorrow, a child of woe,
Born on a Thursday, with always far to go.
Launched from a hellish childhood, into a sea of pain,
Property and at the mercy of parents who were quite insane.
Fatally wounded, but not allowed to die,
Sentenced to life without parole, always wondering why.
Love was always a painful word,
Never felt, but daily heard.
As my life's sands continue to run,
I will shed no tears, when my life is finally done.
There is no one who will validate my pain,
Pointing fingers and angery voices, say that I am to blame.
I am so weary of this life of pretend,
Dizzy and sickened of the merry-go-round ride that has no end.
I am a weary life warrior, wounded from the constant fight,
Soon death will consume me and I will die in the knowledge, knowing I never got it right.

My little rattle snake, don't you ever be sorry to have been born and mistreat, always there is that little unfathomable botle of retribution to take a swig from.
I don't know who got it more badly, but I am happy to be alive and give the willies to the ones doing the mistreating, because I am still here and they should always look over their shoulders in fear.
I don't.
Don't worry, be happy, as the man said.

so strong and direct, you've poured your soul into this not waving but drowning piece.

Oh my sweet adorable loving beautiful SC. I know you couldn't be writing about you because I've seen your soul in your writes and I saw a soul bright, loving, kind, and sweet, a soul of giving. That is the Warrior I know, the one we all know. For those that damaged the dear soul your talking about, Shame on them and God will deal with them in HIS own way in HIS own time and will raise this dear soul up to HIM to embrace and love. Tell her to let HIM for he will make her as strong as you SC, then there will be two WARRIORS. My heart hurts. Love, Bonnie

Wow
You scribe an outstanding meaning of miserable
lock stock and barrel, darkness at its best
I thought I had it bad, a scene like that I can only create
with my pen, I pray that was all you did
Create that scenario.....you have a Great Pen
Love & peace be with you

William

Well I never got it right either. But I am me and I am the very best Me that I can be, and that has gotta be good enough for me and thee. You have always been the very best You that you could be, and that's good enough for me and the whole blamed world. So mote it be :-)

Being born, is not a crime, it's a blessing.

No one is to blame, every one lives their own lives, their on their own journeys.
Right and wrong is only a perception of ones beliefs.

It's how we deal with it that is real.

Your a shining star, giving warmth to thousands of people with your words.

Take care.

They have no right to point a finger, your pain is real and deep. May you find healing and honest love before the sands run out. A touching poem Ms. Comfort.
