You are the light that shows me the way
The guide that takes me down the path
You hold the torch that shines through the mist and fog
Your glowing presence hypnotizes me
You beguile me
My dreams are filled with your dark eyes
You breathe your words into my ear
I feel your arms around my waist
Pulling me into the warmth of your body
Your words seduce me as your arms encompass me
Closing my eyes I lean my head against your shoulder
“Come with me, my love.”
His voice floats into my mind and I obey
My body goes limp as he lowers me to the misty ground below
“Dream of me, my love.”
I tremble under the impact of his fingertips sliding through my hair
His sensuality leaves me breathless
“That’s it, my love,” he whispers. “Feel the words I place into your mind.”
Lovers play scenes in my subconscious
Deeply passionate dialogue fills my being while he speaks to me
My body aches for his touch
It rises and falls to the rhythm of his musings
I scream to the heavens as the scene replays itself in my mind
As the ecstasy subsides he lifts me in his arms
I feel him carry me across the threshold from one world to another
My body recognizes the silken sheets of my bed
“I’ll be back, my love,” he says while placing soft kisses on my face
When I awaken, he is gone, but his face and touch remains
I write the scene that is still lilting in my mind and go about my day
Until with the moonlight, he again sweeps me away
I can feel this lover's arms too. He woos me, loves me, support's me, drives me. Oh yessssss! He keeps me awake at night and walks in my dreams. Can you tell I totally relate? Come love me again, Muse.
Great poem. Very sensual and loving. I can tell you have a great time with your muse.

Creating feelings and emotions out of words and then beguiling others with our thoughts is what makes us writers. Regardless of the genre, words must be alive. Your muse, and that figurative razor blade you wield with such skill to slice away all pretense, brings your words to life.
As a writer, I can relate to this concept of muse as object of sensuality. Often after I have worked through a stream of consciousness I feel as if I was just seduced. Beautiful poem.
