This is a worthy salute to all those who have been in uniform. Our men and women in the military have volunteered (and I stress volunteered) to protect our rights and freedom and that in itself is worthy of accolades.

Today I met an Iraqi citizen who now makes here his home. His simple words of "God bless merica my home now." What more can one say to that. Indeed he is free because of our troops. By the way he kissed the flag and I hugged him.
There should be nothing more precious to a country than her Veterans and those she lost in defense of her freedom. Thank you for this write, Becca. I come from a military family, so I truly appreciate your words.
