I place this under "Self-help" for that is where it should be, in my mind. You could also categorize it under "Psychology" or better yet, "Inspirational", if you would feel inclined.
Needless to say, I learned a great deal about the addict, of alcohol or drugs, because they are the same thing!

I have never been an alcholoic or drug user either, and can't stand the smell of cigarettes so that really hasn't been trouble for me, but I have had cousins and Aunts, and Uncles who have turned to drugs and or alcohol...

I have never been an alcoholic, or a drug user, except for the most addicting drug today...nicotine...Withdrawal symptoms hit me hard, when I tried to quit...but now I am wearing the nicotine patch for the first time today, and I have not even had a craving for a cigarette. We all need help to quit nasty habits, and our peers, and other aids, are there for us, if we choose their help. Becca dear, I know I can quit smoking, and you too, can quit the cravings for more drugs. I have faith in you dear, and so does the Lord Jesus, who is always with you. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. Very good and that is what I feel is the true reason for AA it works for some and others well we must always feel for the hurting and recovering alcoholic everywhere.
