My guide

I write this poem, to let all of you know, what a wonderful world is today and my counselor is my guide here on earth.


 


I was referred to you,
by my old counselor.

Every time I see you,
you bring a smile
and happiness to me.

You are going easy
on me, concerning
costs of visits.

I appreciate that so
very much!


I am relieved you
are here, to give me
advice, counsel and
a little bit of guiding
at bad times.

I am planning many
things, for “Little Boo”.

The work seems to be you,
yet then I realize I am doing
the work, on my own.


I treasure your advice.
It is real, honest and open.

I too am grateful for my shrink! (yes, I go to a shrink. I am among the many Americans who have depression.) Sometimes we all have to go to rant and recenter ourselves. Nicely done.

What a blessing for you to have a wise, trusted counselor. I think it's "neat" that your counselor seems to inspire you to "do the work." Sounds like a good partnership you two have! I think healing is a choice, meaning that you can't just wish it would happen--you have to be willing to work at it.
I wish the best for you alway, with God's richest blessings.
