God entered my life back last May of 1988,
Just in time, Before Diagnosis Day, May of 1989.(D-Day)
He stayed awhile and my faith grew large,
I fought the battle of my brainstem lesion bravely,
Like a captain on a riverbarge.
My faith has since gone,
My lesion has disappeared too,
The drugs in my system are slowly going out,
And I have learned how to FORGIVE.
God has entered my life again,
I find myself becoming FREE
For God believes in me and has
Taken away all my physical pain today.
Emotionally I am doing better too.

I developed an inoperable brainstem tumor causing hydrocephalus 1 month before my 19th birthday. That was almost 13 years ago to this day. I am very lucky to be alive.
