'Tis mighty harmless, selfies are
And so dress-up like, so princess-Star.
Disguise ourselves, pretentious hawks,
A king, a ghoul, or sly Guy Fawkes,
But we warn each other with a shout
Those other dangers all about
And hundred years ago at sea
With raiders all around did we
Tap R R R or S S S at this location
And S O S - S O S - S O S -
just stricken by a hateful nation.
So flex your wrist, make a fist,
Let the dancers sway and twist,
Dit Dah Dit, Di da di, di da di -
Dit dit dit, di di di, di di di -
Dit dit dit, Dah Dah Dah, di di di -
So dread those sounds across the years,
To sum up our most awful fears,
We warn, now rue our own reflections,
And call them
traitor who have objections,
We demand and hoard more ammunition.
And once the robot writers have it
They'll spread so wide this coded widget
Ever more its fame abides us,
Cloaks us ... hides us
'Neath richocheted echoes of chattered fuss.
Every word is filed away, for don't we know
That some fine day a trumpet's blow
Will signal all our mirrors show
Our savior fallen deep in love
With what its ears and eyes behove
A selfie of its zettabyte trove.
So raise your arm and make a fist,
And let the dancers bob and twist,
Play it fore and play it backwards
Morph it round the prison yards
Da dit, dit dit dit, dit dah
Da dit, dit dit dit, dit dah
Da dit, dit dit dit, dit dah

Extrapolating what's happening in the future is mind-boggling…

I love the inter-weaving of the old (morse code) with the new (selfie and zettabyte) - nicely done. -- Jeff Mason
