Just watched a movie that was haunting, about a mother and son's relationship of sexual abuse. It made me so sick but I had to write this for all of the children that are abused.

******Statistics: every three in 1000 children are abused every day. Please help in the prevention of child abuse, do what you can to stop and or prevent it from continuing. If you are a victim, tell someone, if you know of a child being abused speak out to the authorities, never keep silent!"

"Innocence Lost"

by Amber "V" Moonstone

11/26/10

Awaken from a dream,
you are there, standing
looking right through me,
laughing at my innocence.

Bended knees
sacrificial lamb
torturous patience
submissive behavior

tenderness vacant
emptiness
and sorrow.
Alone and abandoned.

marks of sin
twisted sense of desire
falling into the abyss of darkness
wanting to  die.

Violation and mistrust,
stolen voices,
silently speaking
of ghastly deeds.

Warning,
Do Not Tell
Or I will kill you,

time to wake up and die once again.

Though it saddens me to know it still happens I strive to keep the voices of others moving forward in a age where information can reach so many more at an earlier age. Good write and understood

incredibly powerful. the trauma becomes frozen and children carry this into their adult lives, the trauma re-enacts itself once again in a pathological attempt to become whole.

How very nice Amber, Deeply rooted from chambers most try to cover up, and here you expose the beauty of standing face to face with pain.

What we now call abuse was common when I was a child. My father would hit me on occasion. But the mental abuse I received from My aunt is still with me today.
Great informative writing, Dear Lady.

For the abused child, one of the most torturous effects is the feeling of being all alone and helpless.

Thank you for this insightful and sensitive offering, Amber.

Written with such breath-taking compassion ~

So many of these children become adults trapped forever within abuse.
As Christine wrote, should NEVER be!
Blessings,
Christine

Amber,

Child abuse is horrific for any child, I write often of it. We are the children's voice, for many are afraid to come forward. Keep writing for these tortured souls, speak out for them. Thank you for shinng your light on this subject, Amber.

Love an blessings,
~Linda

This warning can't be sounded enough. More often it is a member of the family or relative.

The scars of child abuse last a lifetime, they may not be ugly disfigurations on the skin but they ache and throb just below the surface always. You captured your topic well here Amber.
