What If You’re Wrong?

I know you believe that God isn’t real;
His Son, Jesus, a childish myth.
So you go about life, yourself as the hero
And nothing can turn you from this.

Now your child whom you love with all of your heart,
Is learning to believe as you teach,
That God isn’t there to love and protect
So the truth is out of their reach.

What if you’re wrong about everything
and God lives in heaven above?
Can you live with yourself when the choices YOU make affect the ones that you love?

Picture your child, whom you love so much,
When they come to the end of their days,
Sadly leaving the gates of Heaven
Because Jesus has sent them away

Can you live with yourself when you picture the sight of your child dejected and blue
When Jesus our Lord with a broken heart states,
‘I’m so sorry, I never knew you.
