May I ask you all a question,
Do you know when your trails will end?
I'll bet we all got that one right,
There is no way to know just when.

It could be in the next minute,
While you're reading this poem right now;
That's the strange thing about our trails,
We can't know when but we can know how.

You know what I am speaking of,
There is no trail's end for our soul;
That part of us is forever,
The only part we can make whole.

No matter how old we may get,
Whatever the wrongs we may have done;
Every sin will be pardoned,
The moment we accept God's Son.

I don't claim to be a prophet,
But these words He has given me;
The heart of the matter is this,
He wants our souls eternally free.

So, let's not wait to make up our minds,
We're never too old, it's not too late;
Let's all get together and pray,
For an end to all sorrow and hate.

I have one more simple question,
Now, listen carefully my friend;
The time is coming, it may be soon,
Tell me; how will your trail end?

You see? It doesn't really end here,
We must all walk an eternal trail;
A final question we must then answer,
Will we walk it in Heaven or hell?
