This may strike some readers the wrong way and for that I'm sorry. No, I take that back; facts are facts. If this writing relates to you then you are guilty of selling out America. If the shoe fits, wear it. But we can change that by simply thinking about the harm we will do before we do it. Do you really think these companies care about us? No, they're taking advantage of what is happening and through our own stupidity, we ourselves are making it far worse. I hope you understand where I'm coming from with this. We all need to use simple common sense. Thank you all and God bless.
We are our own worst enemy,
Not smart enough to see the light;
The battle at home is raging,
Now's the time to stand up and fight.
If we cared we’d do the right thing,
Support ourselves wholeheartedly;
Say “NO” to ALL foreign products,
Open our eyes and we will see.
Buying foreign simply won’t do,
If we’re to save the U.S.A.
Politicians sit on their butts,
It’s up to us to show the way.
We are enemies of the state,
We are traitors of the worst kind;
We‘re selling out America,
How the hell can we be so blind?
America’s on life support,
Too many people are homeless;
But proudly we drive foreign cars,
Our dollar is nearly worthless.
Just how can we be so stupid,
Can’t we see the harm that we do?
Let us unite and act as one,
You care for me, I’ll care for you.
The hand writing is on the wall,
It’s only a matter of time;
And just like the Roman Empire,
Our demise will be our own crime.
Complex problem. How many will pay an extra 25% for the US made product? I usually do. Not always. How many workers will take a little less pay for the U.S.A. to be competitive in the market place? In the past very few, maybe times have changed. Maybe it is time for us to crawl out from the educational rock of our past we've been hiding under and graduate 100% of our students with skills, instead of 50%. It is equally as hard for me not to mad about this piece. Because I agree with you 100%. I can possibly understand if the foreign products were good. But they are not. Products made in the US are far superior than foreign products. This was a very good write, Paul.
