While Shaving My Cat

a little limerick just for fun.....i don't even KNOW a cat

I put on a hat
before shaving my cat
whose whiskers had grown quite long

I said if you'll sit
without throwing a fit
I promise to sing you this song

It was the wrong thing to say
I think he'd had a bad day
For straight to my head he did bong

So atop my hat
this cat now sat
gripping with nails sharp and long

It's safe to assume
I picked the wrong tune
for parts of my scalp are now gone
