this year's been a Hard One
but i guess when all's said & done
so have been the last 2 or 3
guess that's the way Life Be

in the Winter it was Cold
right down to my Heart & to my Soul
waitin' for a Loved One to Die
wonderin' How & Why
Life has passed us by

the in the Spring
that same old Thing
living with the living Dead
knowing that her book's been Read

the Summer
was a bummer
humid & hot
not a lot
of Happiness
only Loneliness
and Sadness
when She Died
least i knew i'd Tried
my best
to give her a Peaceful Rest

now it's Fall
and all has changed
my Life's been re-arranged
You've come along
there's a New Song
a new Love
you're all i'm Dreamin' of

and some how, some way
it's All OK
what's happened in The Past
doesn't Last
your Love has cast
a New Glow
on What i Know

so though this year
has had it's Fear
and it's Tear
like the fresh cool breeze of Fall
you're Here
and that's All
i Care about
that Is what Life is All about

seasons come & seasons Go
all i Know
is Our Love continues to Grow
it just goes to Show
in Life & Love you Never Know
which way the Wind might Blow

so that's the Way Life can Be
least that's the Way It Be for me
