Deep in waters dark I swam contented. Seeing things not as they were, I instead imagined endless rivers of rainbow – gentle, gushing streams of goodness. I needed not a wider, clearer sea.
Hooked with nylon fishing line and reeled in by a laughing God, I was just another thrashing sinner blinded by piercing light of brighter world, afraid for my own darkness to be exposed.
Having caught me, Creator removed with care painful anchor lodged in my tender side. He touched my eyes, replaced them with electrified spheres, neon green, wild, wandering, freakish.
Mostly we see eye to Eye the Fisher King and I. He threw me back a time or two when I began seeing things not as they were. Methinks he likes to remind me of a wider, clearer sea.
i'm glad he did, it reflects in your poem ... superb style and motif ...

very good style, the set-up on this works well, at first I thought I wouldn't like the spacing, but by the end I saw how it worked so well. Great write.
Just fantastically brilliant, this write, Dawn! I think that again you have been majorly inspired and I am keeping this to perhaps use, if appropriate and if you would grant me permission, when praying with people who need assurance and comfort in their pain. Of course, I will not do so if you would not agree to this. But the message is profound and so clearly stated... and the flow is unique and journeying, as in the way you have set this piece out. Truly inspirational and "God-breathed", I would say! Thankyou for this. Kate xx
Great images and meaning expressed in these verses, Dawn. Thank you. Love and peace. Regis
