Poems now a memory, mere mirage,
menace that ravages my mind.

I am removed from all that once I was --
long halved my pitted soul.

Dried up, brittle that life that with you
flowed from my heart, now stopped.

I live locked in endless emptiness,
within without, hollowed out.

The songs have left me. I have only
fragments of forgetfulness. Lost....

I am confused, walking in circles
of time, ticking, waiting to wind down.

I must admit that sometimes I feel a little guilty after reading your poems... silly, but true... I feel guilty because so often I can relate so fully and deeply with what you are saying at that particular time... like you have picked up on my wavelength of struggle and have found a way to put into words exactly what I am feeling. So today I feel guilty for having felt that confusion of walking in circles, waiting for time to wind down. I know... it is silly (on one hand) to think that is the reason for your confusion and loneliness/emptiness... But I can't help thinking...maybe if I felt happy and at peace with all that swirls around me you would feel better too?
Maybe it is all the poetry's fault... if you didn't write such compelling and soulful poetry I wouldn't be drawn in and have my emotions scream... "YES! There is someone who understands and can relate to how I am feeling!"
But then again... maybe your poetry is my answer to heartfelt prayer and the angel's answer that no, I am not alone...

So, thanks for being my angel today.
Hugs,
Cryssa
