Twinkle in your eye

a look  -
a quick look,
and then hesitation.
I avert my eyes first,
and blush - like a young girl.

I don't know your name
don't know your game,
total strangers - unafraid.

Lost in the depth of your gaze,
felt as I was falling
into the haze
of your longing.

Without reaching out
you touched
and triggered
sensation.

Then you left
all I have is a breath
- a sigh
and the unknown.
and the memory of the twinkle
in your eye.
