I've been so confused lately
I don't understand my feelings.
They seem so out of character for me.
I'm satisfied with my life in my part of the world,
At times...happy even...
Yet when I'm with this special guy,
An added happiness invades my life.
But it's an invasion that I welcome
With open arms.

With him,
A sense of fulfillment envelops my heart,
A peacefulness engulfs my mind,
A surge of satisfaction enters my body.
Maybe there's a part of my life,
That's never been fulfilled
And never will be.
All I know is that he fills a void in my life.
I feel so very connected to him,
So close, so at ease,
So full of joy.

BUT,
The feeling about which I'm most confused ,
Is the fear I have within my heart...
Afraid that I'll never be the same again,
When, for one reason or another,
We aren't friends anymore.
One thing I'm sure of,
I'll never forget him,
Nor would I ever want to.
Yet, I often wonder,
Why should someone I've never met
Have this effect on me!!

I would say be very careful of having too much feeling for someone you have never met, caution never hurts.

Great poem, Jenni. I guess it's part of being human--needing to feel connected with another.

You won't ever be the same, but love is worth the chance. Beautiful write.
