To my husband of twenty-four years.

~One Weekend~

One weekend was all it took,
One touch, one tender look.
Transported back in time
When things were done
With no reason or rhyme.
Back when love was new
And the sky was always blue.

We took a stroll in the moonlight..
It was such a beautiful night.
We walked together hand in hand,
Finally ended up on a carpet of white sand.
I woke up at the break of dawn,
Enjoyed my first sunrise on this fine morn.
Looked at the sun against a sky of blue,
And remembered why I fell in love with you.
