All that effects a pregnant woman is "passed on" to the child in her womb. No one may ever know the effect of stress [since it effects each person differently], but it is in the re-telling of the story that effects us as we get older. Had you never heard the story, would you have considered its impact or that in some way it impacted who you are? Doubtful, I think.

As a medical person, I maybe able to give you a bit of insight here, Larry. Mother nature protects the fetus at all costs, even so far as to the detrement of the mother. Her body reacted to the added stress of not knowing about her brother, but you were not affected. In fact, the added stress only did harm, if any, to your mom, but you were safe and warm.
Excellent write, Larry; that was a hard time in history, and those who went through it will never forget it for the rest of their lives. It has also affected future generations because they learn about it from books or education; we must never forget that turbulent time in history! Very well done, Larry!
