I wrote this a few years ago. He told me he didn't know what he wanted and that maybe he still felt something for his ex. The most painful thing to do is fall in love with someone who doesn't know what he wants, an immature man...a boy....

I fell in love with a man
And found a boy
He didn't quite get it
That I cared so deep
He couldn't quite make it
All the way to his feet
He thought I was amazing
He thought I was an angel
I took him on his word
When he said he loved me
I took him on his word
when he said he adored me
I took him on his word
When he said he would marry me
I took him on his word
When he swore he'll never leave
I took him on his word
I took him on his empty words

Of everything he spoke of
This he said was true
He said he didn't deserve me
And for that I'm grateful
Because he couldn't quite love me
Couldn't quite move me
Didn't know how or where to touch me
Didn't know himself enough
To know what was good for him
He sucked up all that was in me
And left me dry for another
He broke this heart
He broke his promise
He broke my reality
To fullfil his fantasy
Now I sit and wonder
Who is it that said
'Misery loves company'
He must have been saying it for him
'cause my boy's gone back to find Miss Misery

He would tell her he loves her
He would tell her he'll marry her
He'll say thesame words he said to me
He'll do thesame things he didn't do for me
She will smile and feel special
She will cry tears of joy
Not knowing with this dear man
Words are really just words only
I will have to say
From now until May
To you dear freinds if I may
I will never despair
For what could've been
I should've known better
He's not quite a man yet
He's still just a boy
