You're right Bernice it is a senryu. But in todays world of poetry the older stricter rules of haiku no longer hold up. In days of old haiku had to be about nature, senryu about things or people. Keep writing from your heart and you can't go wrong.

"Love Is A Choice" is the title of a book I just bought. We like the ooshy-gooshy feeling kind of love, but real love is much different. It has, may I say, "due action"
These are choice words, too, with a pointed message.

yes absolutely great haiku and message, my sentiments exactly poetess, my words and verse should have me up on criminal charges for perjury, i'm a serious poet but I write for fun, won't quit until I'm done, that's me One. I'd like to think I mean well and I do, but when it comes to verse I might huchikoo, do the do, don't even have to think it through. I write right into the editor, hardly no rehearsal, update with no reversal, I'm hooked, if nobody reads, they won't get booked, booked on the jive, after it arrive, I've got to do it to stay alive. You understand I dope, it's like dope, I meant to say hope, excuse me, but it's the verse I see, taking me into reality, and out of reality, sometimes I feel like a fatality, again I hope you understand, this poetic demand, hugs
