Everyone is conversing about politics
Forming opinions of this and that
It makes me wonder
what about all that

Micro and macro
ism's
What is within is also without

How to heal a planet so far gone
Ages of souls from infant to matured
Their views of course are so dispersed

Snuggle in close I'll give you a kiss
Drink my knowledge off my lips
And share with me how you belong
I see it there on the end of your tongue

The concept of healing problems this large
Are to define them as personally simple

1. do you love yourself
2. do you love family
3. do you love the neighbor
4. do you love community
5. do you love your job
6. do you love those co workers
7. do you love imperfect strangers

ah...the enemy you fear is all around
you don't have to look across the world
it's the girl in the market looking away
it's the guy on the road flipping you off
it's the angry kid tagging a wall
it's the freakin neighbor stealing your paper

as long as you acknowledge they make you mad
the evil within them gets under your skin
and even if you.. are brave enough
to smile anyway and wish them a nice day
within you are thoughts that rip and shred
cursing the fact they were born at all
for how dare they exist in the world
and worse than that, give you no respect


the more you see them
the more you know
there is something within you
needing to grow

you can not change them and
you can not heal the world
praying for peace is a noble effort
but truly the answer lies inside of you

are you the light or
are you the dark?

so where were we?
a kiss I believe
it's so much better
when your eyes can see
