I hear two voices inside my head

one is loud a definite reaction
is it the ego that talks so loud?

one is soft more like a whisper
it seems to be more proactive

each will create in its own way
and loud seems more persistent

the soft is almost just out of reach
I'd like to enhance its volume

the loud shouts out...me, me, me
feelings of rage, or lack, or jealousy

the soft sings gentle...all, all, all
feelings of mild, and love, and compassion

odd dreams and strange stories enter my mind
taxing my emotion and physical being

thoughts gestating waiting for birth
wordless surrender until they have worth
