was feeling a bit under Shakespeare's influence today...

Poem Artwork

the wind howled strong throughout the night
rattling windows  and bending trees
into the dawn and continues still
sculpting my thoughts and molding my will

surely this must be born of the devil
to partake in such tragedy
tis bitter medicine to be swallowed
only darkness would revenge thee

the wind struck quickly across my cheek
cold ice shards of slapping pain
tangled hair, weeping eyes
turning away, there was shelter in the sun

its warming rays would soothe my thoughts
thinking perhaps more heaven borne
what greater love, so deep, and true
that he would bring himself to blue

in genius script to love sick queen
tears shed again, upon the strife
I plead and I beg to heavens mercy
I could not take it, not again

to wail his death before my eyes
my despaired heart would shatter
unweave now, this resin web
and send it in the wind

I have no want of such impale
bring the color to your cheeks
melt my heart into thy palm
take truce, coy not, and kiss me
