My story will be completely different from what used to be Xena's. None will ever be like Xena the Warrior Princess. All my stories are unique, written off the top of my head, in the manner of "I think, and therefore I write."
Perhaps I will not call my Princess Zena a Princess Warrior. I will give her a more unique name to represent her skill in fighting.

You seem to know what is best for your characters… Christian names or Roman names often used when portraying feudal royalty. The names you have already chosen seem very plausible. If you are writing this story for children, the simpler the names, the better.
You reminded me of my good friend, Behram Randelia who came from Bombay and we were roommates while studying for our master's degrees in engineering. He married a Hindu Christian woman, Gool (always liked that that name. He affectionately called her Goolie). They had three sons, all born in the United States. Since Ron (the name he gave for his first name to the guys where he worked who had trouble pronouncing Behram--I never did) came from the Zoroastrian tradition out of Persia, he named his three sons Cyrus--the great king, Darius--the good king, and Xerxes--the warrior king.
This story sounds good! Have you done a search on the net for fantasy names? If not, you can do one now. You may find something interesting for your story.
