nature is beautiful in more ways than one.

The earth changes and goes through all the
four seasons. Winter, Spring, Summer, and my
very favorite, Autumn
When Autumn comes, so lovely and
fair, creates a breath of needed fresh air.
Her life is sometimes good, sometimes bad
sometimes a monster, or a sweet little lamb.
At times, Autumn is very melancholy,
tears fall from her sweet loving eyes.
Other times sunshine will fall on her face,
making everyone smile
When angry, a harsh wind and a cry will
sing all around. No longer so mild, just an
unruly child.

But the tantrum will end and she’ll be
at peace again, but she’s unpredictable,
no one will know when it will happen again.

Autumn comes, changes and leaves so fast,
Tomorrow who knows where she’ll be at.

Nothing is as beautiful as Autumn;
it’s more than just a season to me. For
this poem is not about the wonders of
Fall and is about no season at all.
For if you look carefully, the poem is
about a child, This is about the love of my life,
my little girl who just happens
to have the name of a season; my beautiful
daughter….Autumn

Autumn, a special name, a beautiful name -- this poem of yours, is a beautiful tribute to the lucky girl whom you proudly proclaim, is your daughter -- may love, joy and peace fill your days -- JMW

Names are indeed very meaningful and very often are spot on for the person. Names are mirrors of the soul, too. It is no coincidence that you have birthed the name Autumn into your precious child; she will have felt your love of her just through absorbing all that life that so enriches you as you carried her! A most beautiful tribute to both season and child. Fabulous energy here. xx

Strange that you would write of autumn this time of year--unless it is a Yuma thing. In Houston I often see signs of autumn now when I used to see them in October up north.

Hi Mary -- Maybe I had a "heads-up" because I remembered your daughter's name. But I kept going back and forth -- I thought it was as a season -- then I was confused -- and then you turned and revealed it was about your beautiful daughter, Autumn -- a wonderful description of a daughter who you love dearly and then you are confused by your feelings of frustration. We cannot control others - we have enough problems controlling ourselves and our lives. Love helps to fuse your feelings of emotion and frustration. Love wins out all the time! Thanks for the poem.
