there are those days

Tears are pouring forth from my eyes
Eyes are the mirrors of the soul, so
does the glass reflect this soul of mine?
I have no reason to be blue, perhaps
I’m not, it’s more like black. For
my heart is a scary dark place, but I
can’t find a reason why.
Senseless woes throughout myself,
I don’t understand it, I’ve no right
to be like this.

A loving family some never have,
A pleasant home, so what do I lack?
A good job, pleasant friends, yet I
sit here like a babe and cry from my pen.
Something’s missing, a hole in my heart,
will I ever be complete again?

You will be complete. Sometimes we feel lonely, sad, or empty. However, you are a special gift. Always remember that you are a special gift, and that there are many special things to be thankful for. Treat yourself to something wonderful this weekend, or look at something that makes you smile.

I think we all have these feelings sometimes ... just feeling blue and yet we can't pinpoint a specific reason ... feels like something is missing or we've somehow failed. This too shall pass. Meaningful write,Mary. Sending hugs, Elizabeth

I think we all have days like this...and I also think that it's important to recognize them for what they are...just as we are happy some days for no reason in particular...just, because...but the good thing is in knowing the sadness will pass.

You have a lot to be thankful for ,but I can identify from some of your feelings.. Perhaps its depression. Its caused by an imbalance of chemicals in the brain. Perhaps you could talk with your Doctor and let him or her know whats happening . Good poem...M

Every human is born alienated from ones Creator, and throughout life, we try and drown-out, cover-up or pacify that ache.
The most profound hunger humans have in common, is for a right relationship with God. Christ is the way.
You write very well and clearly convey the inner world, Mary.
Take care, keep writing

An outstanding write Mary
Crying is part of living
sometimes one cries and know not why
there nothing wrong with crying
we all do it at one time or another
Love & peace be with you

Mary, I know what you mean. Sometimes a dark cloud comes over us and we have to wait for the shadow to pass. Beautifully expressed. Donelle

It's the winter. Get more sunshine, eat a banana, and do something you've never done before. The pain of the world is just waiting to creep in during quiet times.

Something’s missing, a hole in my heart,
will I ever be complete again?

I can relate, Mary. For me, it's a hole in my soul but that's another way of saying the same thing. Love and best wishes,

A heartfelt write that expresses a saddened heart; yet, we all have days like this. This, too, shall pass, as you busy yourself with activty and look for ways to fill that empty hole. Start a list of things you have to be thankful for, then add a couple extra things that are wishes that would make you feel better.

Mary, that was so well written. I think that is one of the loneliest feelings. Mary, my prayer is with you tonight. Even though each persons feelings are different - I have had feelings like that before. The good thing is - it will pass.Maybe it will help to imagine Jesus smiling at you and loving you and understanding everything you are feeling.

With Love,
Cindy

Mary,
I can share that day with you and many others; sometimes these moods just roll over us. You have a strong and loving heart but even then the strongest are not immune. Thank you for sharing this.

I found "Tears from Within" ... is this the mystery poem?

I like it ... we all have days that feel like that ... and then we try and sit back and count our blessings. What did Mary Poppins say? Think of your favorite things ... and then things don't seem so bad.... Susan

Mary:

Perhaps there is an underlying "?" to your happiness? I know that sometimes we get into this dark mood quite suddenly and we just don't know what brought this on.

I think I had mood like this too one morning, and then I had a good cry over it; then everything was alright once again.

I can't remember whether the poem is still here, but I know I have documented that morning in one of my poems. I don't even remember the name of the poem, for I just wrote about it after I have recovered myself that morning.

You will be alright later. Trust me!!!
