Revealing Disguise
Forsaken
to the false front
of a shameless lover’s tale;
Wearing
the many masks
of imposturous clever detail...
The learned behavior
to beseech
a heartfelt emotion;
Compiles
the perilous demands
in deception’s vile notion...
The many desires expressed
were shown passionately
in vain;
To steal
the sacred heart
from the secrets
of love’s domain...
Concealing the truth
within the shadows
revealing a disguise,
the purity of love born
extrudes from the insecurity
of another’s hidden demise...
