They were found in the silence of mortuary tombs...

Monoliths Conical Pillars

Melantic stones gracing reflections sault rapids
hide caverns dripping with archaic essence.
It is private in this tunneling darkness roaring
where pools of water caress the cryptic stones.
The coldness dampens inside the shelter’s mist
where Gods of centuries old know secret worship.
They were found in the silence of mortuary tombs
kneeling in their everlasting servitudes for all eternity.
Resting with harrowing eyes to their fractured skulls
their stalactite temples remain with pure waters seeping with stillness.
Hailing beneath their unending memories within gemstones secrecy
monoliths conical pillars remain echoing evermore
inside the bludgeoned depths of garnet peering hues
as stone miners are still searching for the rarity concealed…

Tide and verbiage lap and ebb with the message of primitive forces as they are observed by ancient gods and etched in stone for eternal sharing. Vickie, impact and consequences change with each successive wave of essence marking the monoliths throughout time. Your rendering beckons with a call from ancient ones entombed, awaiting their opportunity to inform us of the raw values. May you know this day joy, love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael

Not only do you have a uniquely rich grasp of the significance of the past and indeed of the linked present, Vickie, but you have, too, the skills and insight and passion to transmit your gifts. This is a thoroughly satisfying work.

Very evocative poetry, capturing so many images ~
So, the foaming essence has sired many poets, a line of unpolished gems and all the poets and artists need do is attempt to polish to radiance then, what has been left as so many treasures are left by antiquity?
Am I going for a nice swim here?
Blessings,
Christine

For those who fully understand a spiritual representation of this poetess's work, this piece validates earth's antiquity of those who went before us. The mind's eye is at work here through the viewfinder. The foaming essence rewards us with monoliths and pillars valuable to us as poets reminding us of those scribes in previous centuries who sat in their temples of worship and solitude...
