Our Most Precious Gifts
We Give To Others as We Do Ourself
...Creating Our Memories...

POETRY RECITATION: The Beauty of Believing

The Beauty of Believing

Memories dance in elegance
with cerise rose petals falling down.
Across the bedroom doorway
where velvet curtains sensually hung,
and the erotic scent of you continues
perfuming my soul…

And I thought…to myself about you;
Or was it the passion I remember most?

You danced with naked desires
as moon beams kissing your skin,
as I too flourished upon your body
fueled with desirous intentions and wanting…

Our fire insatiable as we explore each other.
You lay naked reading my soul with your eyes.
Pressing your heart into mine, we sang love’s song
over and over again with the most beautiful intimacy
I had ever known…and then you gave to me
the preciousness of tomorrow
when you promised me…
you promised me you’d never leave…

Ahhh but years have come and gone since then
as I hold the memories chiseled and buried.
Which embraced me with more truth
than your words ever could…

And I remember with fondness and gentle hands;
Touching the pearl necklace you adorned me with.
Sharing our bodies over unyielding passion.
All the beauty of believing in love pushed away with tears
as I still remember your promise…

I feel a bittersweet yearning as I read your verses, Vickie. You share a universal and timeless theme within your verses and your words reach deeply into my soul and echo there. Love, hugs, and best wishes to you,

Truly a beautiful poetic ensemble, Vicky...captures the romanticism of yesteryear. You've been in a nostalgic mood I can tell...where would we be without pearls? I love the ghost overlay of the pearls in the photo...it in itself is very soft and expressive...

Love,
Sage

I enjoyed this bitter sweet memory you shared Vic...but one thing stood out so clearly and that was his promise for he was in essence still with you in your heart and mind so in a way he fulfilled his promise and stayed with you forever...
