with a “Hello, what’s your name?” days
later, you came back with a polite “Just
wanted to thank you…”

You said you were shy and a hopeless
romantic and I smiled and sighed deeply

You wooed me with your witty flirtatious
humor and I laughed and called you a
tease

The tender way you kissed me made my
heart stop. It reached so deep inside of
me and took the very air I breathe

Then the words came; the words of love-
your feelings declared for me, and suddenly
I was absorbed by you- cruising through
your blood, not wanting to ever see the
light of day

I was lost in you- my permanent home
surrounded by love and trust
