Cold Summer Sun

You came in from the cold like the hot summer sun Warming my face with your smile Lifted me up in your arms, swirled me around, and Said that you’d stay a while Mighty and rugged so handsome and strong and You’re shy when I tell you so I see through the hazel that colors your eyes and I Blink from the twinkles they throw You talk and you laugh in tones that are deep, while Reading my mind all the time You know how to listen and just what to say, to Soothe ruffled feathers of mine Then all of a sudden, I feel such a chill from the warmth And the love from your kiss I now sense your sadness and read in your eyes, the Look that it’s me that you’ll miss I want you to know that I’m feeling the same as my Heart starts to rip right in two My warm summer sun goes back out in the cold, and We both wave and mouth, “I love you” © Copyright MS January 2003

very uplifting,,,you know it's something special when one can make their mate feel warm inside on a cold bitter day,,,this one makes you wanna smile, especially when you see loved ones coming thro' the door
