She Needs

The
hurt
pumps
through
her veins
feeding her
disappointment
and loneliness. She
lives on supplements
of pain and misery. Becoming
paler in a desolate existence, she
still offers herself to those that need,
while her cries are soft and muffled. Her
unheard voice is weak but she continues to
linger for some bit of recognition. She is a
wilted flower on faded wall paper No one cares
what she does, or where she goes, or comes to
her defense; she’s on her own and will only be
watered with drips to come alive when something
is needed. The ache in her heart needs to be
fed with love and attention, not silence and
dismissal. She needs to feel that
she is loved, cared about and
listened to. She yearns to
have her heart touched by
someone, not only for a
moment but a lasting
touch that will pump
cleansed loving
feelings

through
her veins
to ease the
pain in her
heart

To you sweet sweet Marilyn ... I dedicate the song, "I Got That Loving Feeling." May it follow you wherever you go and always remind you that you are deeply loved. Any man would be proud to die for your love. What an excellent job structuring the poem to make it standout. But it would have stood out anyway. It is excellent and you have become terrific in forming and displaying your ideas. 20plus+++++++++
