You made the bluebells sweeter
as we walked alone
on those starry Texas nights
believing that love or
whatever we shared could
somehow last forever

You made my heart beat deeper
my breath seem shallow
each time you spoke my name
with every sensory touch, history’s library of love
could easily be explained

You are the desire of my ages, my only joy
that one love each seeks to remain
and as I reminisce of our moments together,
every thought of you
makes even the beauty of the bluebells
fade to a distant memory

Lori, love can be sos sweet and the memory of it can too. Even after much time has passed. We need to always look to the brighter side and know that it can be sweet again in the here and the now. Hugs Bill
