I hear your voice and it keeps me hanging on
to what we once had at the beginning... at the start
the promises made, the pledge shattered by the storms of life
still ring true in my heart
even though my mind knows that your words are vacant
and void of reality, truth and sincerity...
Yes, I may be a fool to still love you
but what is love if it cannot dream
and anticipate a brighter tomorrow...
Yes I love you, but I do not need you
I care but I’m not concerned
I’m here, but only for forever
never again for a night...
I hear your voice... and my knees may be weak
but thanks to you my thighs are strong
and it never was my knees you wanted.

Many Lori have lost the meaning of love. I my self look at love as romance, feeling, caring, giving. Touching, smiling, walking hand in hand. Its just a few around as those who seek are long. For the true meaning of love.

Lori...you are impressive in the way you think and write. I continue to be inspired by not only your "old soul" wisdom but by your kind comments and empathic comprehension.
