Set aside and rejected
by what She thought was true
She sits alone haunted
by tired, overused memories
Memories are all She has
Her absent-minded dreaming
reaches out for love and acceptance
for tenderness and a knowing touch
but all She finds is pain
Tenderness is a sweet, painful dream
Her afflicted heart cries for relief
but knows no definition of reprieve
She is lost in the moment
captured by despair
with no options for recovery
Recovery would be wasted
The peace of death calls to Her
but would death deliver it’s promised rest
or let Her down in the manner of life
Death is a lie
Has She destroyed herself
has She lost her mind
She sets alone and cries
remembering a fairytale
She once called life
Fairytales are her reality
She sits alone...

Yes, so very sad Lori and it is almost like a finish of the beginning. Like a file you have to run and rerun throughout eternity. But it is not that bad.
