you've spooked me beyond words.

You tell me you'll do something,
next time you just don't know.
One more time and then you ping,
declaring a cause you once bemoaned.

What goes on in your twisted head?
One minute you calmly state your path--
the next, you bash me with words of lead.
When I support your old way, you lash.

The utter embarrassment you have caused me
may scarcely be framed in spoken word.
The utter shame I hold, you can't see--
it tares me apart, inward and awkwardly.
