What is it with people's reactions when we go it alone?
If you go into a restaurant alone, it feels like everyone in the place just stares.
Ask for a single movie ticket and the vendor just might try giving you two.
Go on a peaceful hike alone and those that pass you
May look at you strangely and wonder why you're not in a pair.
News flash! to all the out-going people.
Some of us like to spend a little time alone--
Personally, other people slow me down when I'm on the run--
Heck, I've toured dozens of States on my own.
I'm comfortable with myself and it's easy to keep track of me.
Anyway, what's the big hang-up with going it alone?
I can so relate to this. I often go to the movies alone because I prefer to not have people sitting next to me. If I go with someone then they absoulutely must have their own bag of popcorn. I hate to shop with my girlfriends, they just slow me down and have a completely different style of shopping. Plus, they usually have a gaggle of kids along. So I wind up keeping on eye on the little ones while they try on everything in the store. Okay...sorry for the long review. I just thought I would let you know you're not alone in "going it alone."
