Time heals...it truly does.

Journey

How much grief can we swallow down?

A mound?

A lifetime’s?

An ocean’s?

Does the mourning body at last rebel?

Expel?

Through rage?

In tears?

Collapse?

Does grief leak through the pores away,

Day by day,

Evaporate?

Encapsulate?

Or heal?

Thought provoking my friend...time does have a way of healing one's memory somewhat, but I've found that prayer helps heal the heart...I like Jill also like to write poetry to help release some of the hurt, pain, and suffering we all go through at one time or another. A well written write that poses many questions that we've all pondered...well done.
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Eileen,
I'm in the same boat with Karla and Karen, right now, having just lost my father, very suddenly, on June 22nd. Some days, I cope; on others, such as when I hear a song he liked, the emotions become too much. Time is a healer; poetry helps to release the grief, too. This much I have learned.

Thanks for sharing this poem, Eileen.

Grief still here with me since last Aug 17. Cry lots some days, others just think and sometimes angry thoughts come, sometimes I wonder why? Other days faith sets in and i am O.K. with it. Time will heal, but never evaporate my feelings for my loved ones.

Eileen,

Don't know - still on that road - missing my Daddy so much - there are days I'm fine, and then there are DAYS - an excellent, thought provoking poem.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Time does indeed heal all wounds. It may take people more time than others to grief, but overall our pain and misery will go away and continue to enjoy our lives the way that we are suppose to live it.very good poem
