Oblivious

So shallow are these words that fall away into oblivion… The writing’s scratched upon the wall of everything we’ve said or done. Pretending to ignore the signs that blaze like comets through your eyes… Is nothing more than shadowed fears you fail to face or analyze. The cryptic tongue bleeds just as much when biting down to feed the pain… Yet what moves through the hollow heart comes ten times back around again. It’s honesty that moves beyond the walls surrounding skin and bone… To resurrect the soul from death while breathing more than life, alone. The monumental mountain of our attitudes and dispositions… Harbors cold and cruel thoughts or clarifies without conditions. Deep inside the well of reason utterances bathe and swim… To live above the drowning pool it’s love that must flow to the brim.
