Play-Doh Memories of Mama

Purple, yellow,
green and blue--
The vivid colors of Play-Doh

Short and fat,
thin and long--
Snakes and ropes of Play-Doh

Mix them up;
roll them again--
Oh, how those colors blend!

The time has come
to pull them a-p-a-r-t
and put them away again.

A child cries
for the fixer of all
to help those colors of Play-time

With soft, sweet words
and gentle hands
Mama heals the ache of Play-time

and in so doing
creates in me
the blended colors,
the splendid colors--
the brilliant colors of memories…

lol. Wonderful write. I hated to blend my play-doh. But it sounds like it came out for you. I must be anal or obsessive or something. Great. Liz

Cryssa,

Mamas are the "fixers of all" - and when they're gone - powerfully poignant memories. Her colors shine through you - know she's proud of her girls. Well done.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
