The Title--Without the Work

Physical bands bro-ken,

tangibility erased

-yet love still holds the heart

talk of love,

speech of support

-then, stabbing in the back

not wanting what we want--

discarded from your home

-but withholding it from us

You aver the title,

the distinction

-but without the work

So sad when soneones true colors come to life,
leaving us with empty feelings and distrust...
Excellent poem, Cryssa!

You know, I discovered something about POE-- that the Allen family was close with the Poe family, and thus Edgar's middle name was Allen. And when his family was no longer able to support him, due to death or poverty--can't remember which, it was the Allen family who paid for Poe's education--but coldly so--with upturned noses, and cold, closed doors. Poe hated being associated with that family--and would detest the way his name is always linked these days with that hated middle name. He corrected those who addressed him by both names--"It's simply Mr. Poe." Those who do endevor to help are those who really deserve the titles, aren't they? --Charlie

Isn't this generally how it goes tho? How often have you done all the work...helped to move something along, brought forth positive and wonderful results...while someone else takes the lead or credit? Suppose it's that inner satisfaction that we must hold on to, and realize that there is always a silver lining... we must be patient and wait for HIM.... sometimes...it's that miracle in the making...and giving up too soon...well, that's not what He plans for us... Victory is in the wings... so hang in! You did a great job with this one! hugs, lindalaw

Pain and betrayal is inevitable but its truely how we handle it that really matters, sometimes we let get the best of us, soemtime we build our strongest muscles from it. Overall we will face it one way or another. You have a thing of less is more in your lines that works so well. I might be a bit out of sync with this one.

You speak so loudly and so clearly what it is to be betrayed to the very quick. Having experienced this myself, I have compassion for you and pray you come out victorious and soon.Blessings and hugs, J'nia

Some are sadistic in their outlook, and they don't realize the harm they are also doing to themselves. Selfishness and cruelty seem to be hallmarks of these anti-social maggots. Love and our pride blind us to the flaws.

I have known people who fit this profile. Only the obsessed person's death seems to cure the problem for the victim, as they will never relinquish their hold over the other person. If I can't have you then nobody can have you, is the echo of many murder-suicides. Provocative.
