A Monday Morning Blues-down Skirt

Wrapped tightly
In a Monday morning
Blues-down skirt
In the middle of
A bopping dance floor
Ole girl just stood
Swaying and hurt

Couldn't twist a hip
or take a dip...

All she could do
Was stay and sway
In that Monday morning
Blues-down skirt
A mind's "Backwater Blues"
Hears Leadbelly's croon
Enhancing all her woes
"...I can't move no more
Cause there aint no place
For a poor ole girl to go."

Leadbelly, a one of a kind musical genius -- as for someone who cannot make the right moves anymore, that certainly is not Janice Beaty Springs -- a creative lady such as you, could not possibly suffer from Monday morning blues -- I like your song very much -- peace and love to you -- JMW
