Friendships are rare and they enhance you life. But when it comes unexpectly right after the loss of your Mother, it should be cherished because it was heaven sent.

MY HOUR OF NEED

There's a unique person I came to know.

In getting to know her, it went so slow.

We worked together side by side.

She taught me so much with patience and pride.

She was always so kind in spite of my errors.

Isn't it odd, how you know someone cares?

I trusted and liked her from the very first day.

To have it returned, I will hope and pray.

Suddenly one day, it was just her and me.

We talked of many things and I began to see.

How special she was and the love in her heart.

She still didn't trust me but it was a start.

From that day on, our friendship grew.

It was so special of that we both knew.

I had such problems during that time

And a better friend, I will never find.

She gave of herself as I knew she would,

And with her by my side, I always feel good.

So many times I knew she was there.

If not in person, always in prayer.

I hope some day that I can repay,

Her kindness and love in a unique way.

In such a way that will help her see.

Just how dear and special she is to me.

If I have only one wish to have come true .

It's for her to see her worth and true value.

Every person that knew her would tell,

That they learned what a true friend was and learned it well.

To give of yourself is the best gift to give.

And I'll never forget her as long as I live.

May she be blessed, for this I plead.

For she was there in my hour of need.
