Her First Accident at TWO!
Our little girl was almost two and was helping in the yard.
She was dancing all around, she was such a card.
We lived in a secluded neighborhood only eight homes around.
So we hardly had any traffic, like the people had in town.
Our neighbor had a big yellow truck parked across the street.
Everyone hated that big yellow truck but we tried to be discreet.
I was so busy planting for a moment I forgot my little one.
When I finally looked up, I found that she was gone.
Freaking out I panicked and began to look around.
That’s when I saw her, all happy, safe and sound.
She was in my car as pleased as could be.
When I got closer she locked the car to me.
Smiling from ear to ear she was so proud of herself.
Jumping and steering, she was acting like a mischievous elf.
“Open the door honey,” but she shook her little head.
When I looked in and saw the keys my heart filled with dread.
I was totally helpless with what was happening before my eyes.
She turned the key, the wheel unlocked after many tries.
She released the break and jiggled with the gears.
All of sudden the car drifted back adding to my fears.
It started going faster with me running along side.
She started laughing harder, having a heck of a ride.
Out of the driveway and across the street right into the truck.
I was freaking out, for now the car was stuck.
After much coaxing she finally unlocked the door.
She had her first accident and she wasn’t even four.
She was fine and happy for she enjoyed her ride.
I on the other hand, stood right there and cried.
