Cupid Had to Flee

Gossip swarmed about Cupid’s disasters throughout the little town.

The town was after Cupid’s blood, if Cupid could again be found.

They had enough of all his crazy shenanigans and his many mistakes.

And if they finally caught our Cupid, he’d be burning at their stakes.

Poor Little Cupid for all he wanted was to have love spread around.

We wanted it throughout this world so he started with his home town.

Cupid knew he didn’t do a perfect job but he tried as he hard as he could.

He knew the town was angry and knew they were gathering lots of wood.

Sure he had created unusual matings and produced chaos and fright.

But Cupid didn’t mean to hurt anyone especially the people in his sights.

He didn’t know where to go except in the woods to hide in a tree.

That sure would be the safest place for a Wanted Little Cupid to be.

The people started getting closer to where our Cupid was now abiding.

The town’s people were so determined to find where this demon was hiding.

Then Cupid had a superb idea, he would shoot them all with his new bow.

And when he saw all of them comin close he let his arrows go.

After shooting he dropped in front of them before they had a chance to flee.

He was the very first thing they saw when he jumped from that tree.

When a Cupid shoots you, you fall in love with the first one you see.

But that’s not what occurred here, they lit their torches & burned down his tree.
