Brilliance

My desire is brilliance.
I want to give the world some bright, important words
Of astonishing wisdom and curative power that
Make a difference measurable to the naked heart.

What of love and peace and hope and courage?
It has been said, and said, and said again.
Still, the world suffers so that often, guilty as you,
I must turn my eyes away and brilliance is my desire.

It is not going to be you or me saying words
That matter more or resonate better than before.
No, not one, speaking perfection even in the clearest tone.
It will be the desire of many with one voice that is brilliance.

My desire is brilliance.
I hold out my hands and raise up my voice to join
You and I and he and she and he and she and….
Brilliant we will be.
