My father is a statistician and I can't add two and two. My husband has a degree in computer technology and I can't navigate a chat room!

My Computer

By my computer I am beguiled.
It can take me on rides surprising wild
to see places and meet folks who are
Strange and new and from afar.

It helps me write and just as oft
Keeps me confused and writing not
In fits of focus trying to forage
Some better organized words in storage.

Since first my fingers forded
The keyboarding days I horded.
My attention and my satire
Sometimes is a quagmire.

But I have had more fun on here
And really, would feel so queer
To go back to horse and buggy
Writing words on paper smudgy.

So even though this machine, see...
Seems to be the boss of me
I love to pound the keys
And fuss and create and try to please.
